Client ID Best Practices
Choose a consistent naming convention for Client IDs:
- Sequential: ISP-001, ISP-002, ISP-003
- Area-based: DHK-001, CTG-001, SYL-001
- Date-based: 2024-01-001, 2024-01-002
Pick one format and stick with it for easy organization.
PPPoE Credentials
When setting PPPoE credentials:
- Use unique usernames for each client
- Generate strong passwords or use a consistent pattern
- These credentials will be configured on the client’s router
What Happens After Creating a Client?
After saving:
- The client appears in your client list
- You can now create a subscription for this client
- The PPPoE credentials are ready to use (not yet active on the router until subscription is created)
Next Steps
After creating a client, you’ll typically want to:
- Create a Subscription to assign a package
- Configure the client’s router with the PPPoE credentials
Troubleshooting
”Client ID already exists”
Each Client ID must be unique. Choose a different ID or check if this client already exists.
”PPPoE Username already exists”
PPPoE usernames must be unique across your entire system. Choose a different username.
”Server not available”
Make sure you have at least one server configured and it’s online. See Add Server.
