Quick Setup Checklist

Complete these essential steps to get your Zettabit instance fully operational.

Setup Checklist

1. Secure Your Account

  • Change your default password
  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication

2. Add Your First MikroTik Server

Connect Zettabit to your MikroTik router:

  1. Go to Network > Servers
  2. Click Add Server
  3. Enter connection details:
    • Name - A friendly name for this router
    • Host - IP address or hostname
    • Username - RouterOS API username
    • Password - RouterOS API password
    • Port - API port (default: 8728, or 8729 for SSL)
    • Use SSL - Enable for secure connections
  4. Click Test Connection to verify
  5. Click Save

3. Create Service Packages

Define the internet packages you offer:

  1. Go to Packages
  2. Click Add Package
  3. Fill in:
    • Name - Package name (e.g., “10 Mbps Monthly”)
    • Price - Monthly cost
    • Validity - Duration in days
    • PPPoE Profile - MikroTik profile to assign
  4. Click Save

4. Add Your First Client

Register a customer in the system:

  1. Go to Clients
  2. Click Add Client
  3. Enter client details:
    • Client ID - Your internal reference number
    • Name - Customer name
    • Phone - Contact number
    • PPPoE Username - For router authentication
    • PPPoE Password - For router authentication
    • Server - Which router this client connects to
  4. Click Save

5. Create a Subscription

Assign a package to your client:

  1. Go to Subscriptions
  2. Click Create Subscription
  3. Select the client and package
  4. Set the start date
  5. Enable auto-renewal if desired
  6. Click Save

6. Configure Notifications (Optional)

Set up SMS notifications for expiring subscriptions:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Configure your SMS provider
  3. Customize notification templates

7. Set Up Payment Gateway (Optional)

Enable online payments:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Configure your payment provider (bKash, SSLCommerz)
  3. Test with a small transaction
